In deference to the Great Recession of OH EIGHT!

I am moving my studio to a smaller space.

In fact, this is a very exciting transition for me as I will be returning to one of my favorite places and the smallest city in California; only 102 citizens. (It should be MUCH easier for me to gain big frog status in this pond.) And, it is incredibly beautiful.

My new studio will be located in the Historic Amador Hotel (#5 on the Walking Tour map). It has recently been renovated by Master Craftsman, Ray Brusatori, and is pure pleasure. The space may be smaller, but I will have the same high ceilings and natural light and a balcony overlooking Historic Highway 49. To celebrate, and to finance the move, I am having the sale of all sales:

51% OFF all of my existing quilts!

Why 51%? So obvious. I have always wanted to say it:
BETTER THAN WHOLESALE!

(as if there ever was a wholesale price on these particular pieces!)

These are not dogs, nor the dregs, nor seconds. They are simply the last quilts that I made in 2008. Several were only shown at one show, the Philadelphia Art Museum, in November, 2008. I have attended no shows in 2009 and have made no new quilts other than commissioned pieces. These are all of the quilts that I have.

Here is the deal: The sale is for available quilts only. Commission pieces are not available at this price. Ground shipping in the US is included in the sale price. If you order a quilt and don't think it is the perfect thing for you, it can be returned within 3 days and you will receive a credit toward a future quilt.

If you are in Northern California and would like to see the quilts in person, you can see them, and purchase them at this price, at The Fine Eye Gallery in Sutter Creek, CA.

My new studio is also strategically located across the street from the best BAKERY in the Sierra Foothills. (It might be the best between SF and Denver but I haven't tried all of them.) The kids who own it, Kimberly and Matt Andrae, heard I was moving back to town and did the smartest thing they could do: They closed the bakery for a month to renovate it for a more extensive lunch menu, an extensive beer menu and an Espresso Bar! CafeŽ OleŽ for me! They will reopen the Thursday before Labor Day, right before I move into the studio. And, yes, I CAN make time to meet you there!

So, in conclusion: First Come, First Served.

Next Update will be the new address, perhaps an open house?, and the other great place to eat in my new neighborhood

You be cool,
Pamela
